Bicycle Parts

The bicycle industry is very challenging. Nearly all products in this industry require performance similar to those in the aerospace industry. The common characteristics for produts in both industries are:

1. Light-weight:
Lightweight materials and metals are commonplace, including aluminum alloys (6061, 7075, an so on); magnesium alloys and titanium alloys (Ti-6Al-4V, DAT51(Ti-22V-4Al)). Parts are usually designed to minimize materials for weight reduction.

2. High strength:

Stamped or cold forged parts have significant strength advantages over those made from casting or powdered metal.

 3. Low cost:

Progressive die stamping produces high volumes precision parts very rapidly, substantially reducing cost relative to those made from other manufacturing methods.
